Is this a peddle bar tour?

Absolutely not. You think we actually bought one of those things? Where would we even get one? Nah. This is a walking tour, so lace up your shoes and get ready to party. It’s all contained within a few blocks, so wear comfortable shoes and you’ll be fine.

Who leads the crawls?

Every one of our guides is a local standup comedian. One reason Austin Crawls was started was to give job opportunities to standup comics during the day so they can do open mics and shows at night, so please enjoy spending time with the next generation of up-and-coming comedians, and be sure to tip them well.

what’s the transportation situation?

Driving drunk is illegal and uncool, so we recommend getting a ride to and from the crawl. If you have a DD though, there’s parking all along South Congress and the side streets. We start at the Austin Motel and end at the South Congress hotel, so aim for somewhere close to there. We’ll walk from place to place during the crawl, so check the weather and dress accordingly.

Where does the “Authentic AustiN” south congress tour start & end?

Starting spot: At the Austin Motel under the big red sign that’s shaped like a penis. You can’t miss it.

Ending spot: South Congress Hotel

any activity recommendations for before & after the tour?

Our tours are 2-5 pm because Austin’s food scene is too good to miss. We recommend getting lunch somewhere beforehand and dinner somewhere after. Someday we’ll have a blog post about this, but we trust you can find good spots on Google and Yelp while we get our shit together.

Can i take pictures?

That’s why we built murals into the tour! Experiences are only as worthwhile as the pics you can post on the gram, so our guides are happy to take pictures for you at all the murals along the way.

Do you offer tours of other austin neighborhoods?

We currently offer tours of South Congress on our “Authentic Austin” tour and an exclusive “Secret Speakeasy” tour. Other ones are in the works! DM us where else you want to go at @austincrawlstx.

what if the weather is bad?

It’s Texas. The weather’s always crazy. Our tours go on rain or shine, so check the weather and dress accordingly.

Is my dog allowed to come with me?

Yes. Always.
